The records route depends on what happened after the arrest.
- For an arrest report or booking-photo request, use the county FOIL process when the sheriff is the custodian.
- For a current county-jail question, use the sheriff's main or booking line, subject to agency disclosure limits.
- For a state-sentenced person, use the New York DOCCS locator or call 518-457-8126.
- For a final case outcome, use the court named in the report or the New York e-Courts system.
- For a federal or immigration matter, use the BOP or ICE locator only when an official record identifies that custody.
